A friend of a family owns this small charming house right on the water in Jamesport, LI and we were lucky enough able to rent it for two days this week on a such short notice.
It’s very rustic and full of its charm.

We saw so many moon jelly fishes.
We had fun catching quiet a few of these.
I bought some silver charms awhile ago and I finally got around to use them to make a necklace for Chloe.
She loves it!
Sautéed garlic Shrimp + thai basil + cucumber + lemon juice + fish sauce + avocado + rice noodle = Shane’s fave.
Chloe’s summer camp ended and she couldn’t be sadder. She started bawling this afternoon because she missed her teacher Gabriella. 🙁

Andrew LOVES to golf and he’s been trying to get everyone to get started. So here we are. Taking golf lessons from daddy.
Shane’s been here with his dad a few times but it was Chloe’s first time. You can tell that Shane’s already comfortable with this. I was pretty impressed!

She started reading books with no pictures this summer. Chloe picked out a bunch of books from our town library three weeks ago and finished reading all of them.
This book was difficult for her. She told me she didn’t understand it but she read out aloud the whole book any way.
This book, Mermaid Tales is her current favorite book.
LOVE that she loves to read.
I love that I get an update from the kids summer camp every day. This note from his teacher made my day. 🙂
For the last couple of weeks, I feel like I’ve been walking around with a cloud over my head. Right after I finished setting up for the party, I found out that my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. When I look back at the pictures, I remember how sad and hard it was just getting through the day…
My first reaction to the news was the worst possible.
However God is so faithful. He’s already planned ahead for her. Last month, she was paired up with a person who has great connections at this cancer hospital in her prayer group. When she found out about my mom’s condition, she scheduled her for an appointment with the surgeon that same week which is unheard of. She’s having surgery next week and the great news is that the cancer has not spread!
I completely trust God that this is one of His mysterious plans, a great, amazing plan for my mom.
All we need to do is pray continuously and trust…
