My First Bear

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

We waited almost two months for this moment. Chloe’s ‘my first bear’ has finally arrived! When Chloe first met him, she grab and kissed (or tried to eat) its nose. I think it’s a good sign that she liked him right away. To decide on its name, we had to call a family meeting. After much discussions and debates, we agreed on… BoBo. Welcome to our family, BoBo! (now I can reclaim my own teddy bear…)

First Day At Work

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

Chloe had her 9 months check-up today. I can’t believe she’s already 37 weeks old! She’s 27.5 inches and 20 lbs today. After the doctor’s visit, I took her to my office to show her where I daydream about her for most of the day.
She quickly acquainted with Usha, my best friend and my boss at work.
Chloe then made herself comfortable on my desk with her toys. I wish I can work like this everyday…

Two Thumbs Up for Grandma!

Monday, August 27th, 2007

We are so blessed and lucky to have Chloe’s grandmother (Andrew’s mom) come to our house and watch her while I’m at work. Grandma loves Chloe so much that when she comes over on Monday mornings, she always says how much she missed her during the weekends. She actually came over one Saturday to see Chloe after leaving our house just a few hours ago on Friday. That’s unconditional love…

My Trusty Alarm Clock

Sunday, August 26th, 2007

No matter what day it is, Chloe always wakes me up at 6 a.m. She starts “buzzing” around 5:30 a.m. and by 6 a.m. if I don’t come to her, she calls really loud that I can’t ignore her anymore. Once I drag myself up, I’m very excited to see my little angel’s bright smile!

Orchestrating

Conducting…
Singing…
Playing piano…
Playing drums…
Chloe’s been VERY active these days. She’s hardly on one spot for more than 2 seconds. She’s crawling everywhere, pulling herself to stand on almost ANYTHING she can grab on to. Because we don’t get to spend a lot of time with her during the week days, our weekends are usually packed with fun activities with her. We try to spend every second of the weekend playing with her, making her laugh, and just trying to keep up with this little energizer bunny. She got overexcited having so much fun with us that she fought herself from napping all Saturday. Hence we ended up with grumpy Chloe in the evening. But it was all worth it! When she finally crashed at 7 p.m., I was completed out as well.

Performing Live

We played at Reinmuth’s this afternoon where Chloe debuted as a duet singer with Will.
And danced with Christin!

The Next Step…

Sunday, August 19th, 2007

I have been taking Chloe to the nursery in church and hanging out with her during the Sunday service. I am hoping she’ll get familiarized with other babies and caretakers there so that I can go and attend Sunday worship services. Today she was distracted by all the toys that she hardly checked to see if I was there or not. This is a good sign… maybe in the next couple of weeks, I can “ditch” her. Oh… I feel really bad saying that.
Her smile brings sunshine to my heart!

The Mouth of Truth

Saturday, August 18th, 2007

I pretended my mouth was the visage’s Mouth.
Chloe was relieved to have her hand back. ^^

New Babes on the Block

Saturday, August 11th, 2007

We went to Sun & Ed’s house for some sizzling steaks and fantastic burgers this afternoon and Chloe hung out with Ava and Sidney. Here, the girls are practicing waves.
Uh, uh…
Chloe, I know you’re hungry but it’s the wrong bottle!
