After church, we invited a few of our neighbor friends over for some grilling.

Andrew: (not paying much attention) Nah…
Shane: (overheard our conversation) Mommy, you don’t look weird. You look beautiful.
Me: Awww… Shane, you’re the sweetest.

They sang five songs and even though we were sitting in the back row and could hardly see him, we sure could hear his voice. He was so awesome!

Smash burger celebration.

He came home with a huge portfolio folder containing amazing art works he did at school.

Not only he’s a great little artist, he’s doing so well academically. I was really impressed to see his test scores at school and to hear his developments from his teacher! He scored 94 on his state achievement test. He’s been reading so well too. 🙂 So proud of you, my Shane!!

Chloe made a beautiful card to her teacher. She had a great year and we’re so proud of her for doing so well at school. Is it weird that I also feel like I accomplished 1st grade too?

We had a wonderful time at the retreat and now we’re home. Feels like we were gone for longer than just three days. Soon as we got home, I unpacked all of our bags, loaded up the laundry and started cooking.

I feel like we need to go on a detox plan after all the fun food we ate.

S’mores master

We hardly saw our kids today. I just loved seeing our kids enjoying their friends so much. What a great memory they are making here….

Shane was nowhere to be seen for a while and we found him in the parking lot hanging out with big boys. 🙂
He told me he had the best day ever before he went to bed at 10pm tonight.

Chloe also had sooooo much fun here, she told me this was the best vacation ever. Better than Hawaii, in fact. What can I say!  I’m so glad we all had an awesome time. Can’t wait for next year!

It’s that time again! We look forward to spending a long weekend at Camp of the Woods with our church family every year.
