We’re stuck in the snow and running out of things to do in the house…

back to the snow

I came back to the piles of snow last night. Wow. Seriously?

They love to attack dad with snowballs.

Oh, how I missed this!

last day

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

got up at 6 a.m. (even though I had all the space in the large bed to spread out, I stuffed my sides with pillows to fall asleep. I actually missed my munchkins pushing and shoving next to me in bed…)

went to the Mac Expo,

and stopped by China town for late lunch.

lunch at 5 pm.

I met up with my nephew and niece for the first time this evening!

we took a BART to downtown Berkeley to see my cousin perform.

The band sounded really great! They play what’s known as raggae fusion music, sort of funky and cool.

What an amazing trip I had… I was so happy to see my cousin and her beautiful family during my visit to S.F. Thank you for making this trip so special. And see you in Cabo!~~

dinner with an old friend

Thursday, January 27th, 2011

After work, I had a pleasure of meet up with my good friend from the past. We just sort of lost touch for a while, being busy with life. So after me having two kids, and her getting married and moving out to SF…  here we are again just like the old days.
And the food at  Anchor & Hope. Yum. Yum.Yum.

good morning, sf!

I woke up bright and early, being completely jet legged around 5 am. PST time. So I worked for about 3 hours in bed, then I headed out for some sightseeing before I start my full day of work at the Expo.

My cousin picked me up (thank you!) from my hotel at around 8:30 a.m. and took me to see the Golden Gate Bridge. I love this bridge.

Arcatraz

The weather is gorgeous and beeeaaautiful today. I just can’t get over how nice the weather is right now and the fact that the beach is only a few minutes away…

We had a breakfast at the Cliff house and this was our view from the table.

Eggs San Francisco, poached eggs with Dungeness crab, toasted sourdough bread & brandy cream sauce. Yummmmm. Now, I’m ready for work!

My badge. I had it on me all day. Oh yeah.

My cousin whom I haven’t seen in twenty years took me out for a lovely dinner. It was sooooo great to reconnect with her and share our past memories and current lives…

And we pre-celebrated my birthday. 🙂

preparing for take off!

I cooked all day last Sunday and worked out the kiddies menus for the rest of the week as I’m going away on a conference this week.

Andrew’s working from home while I’m away and my mother-in-law is also staying with them to help out with the kids. Andrew will be Mr. mom for the next 4 days. While I’m in sunny CalifORNIA! 🙂

I’ll miss you guys~

When Shane just wakes from his naps, sometimes he likes to be held and be still. Oh how I treasure these moments with him…

After the show, Andrew and Shane met us in the city and we had lunch at the Seaport.

date with chloe

Saturday, January 22nd, 2011

I took Chloe to Madison Square Garden for a Disney Princess on Ice show this morning. We had  a great date. She had her first subway experience getting there too. This evening when she prayed, she said, “Dear God, … thank you for mommy and the princess on ice show and Ariel barbie…I pray for mommy so she can get well rest tonight…”

How great is she!
