This morning she beaded a necklace all by herself. I was impressed! Some of the holes in the beads were really small and there were even hard for me to do it. She did a great job!

Andrew's best friend and his wife came over in the evening to bring presents to the kids. It was a nice surprise and Chloe got to stay up a little late and had *drinks* with us.

raising a designer

Chloe and I are busy every other night making stuff, weather it’s a hair piece, a necklace or a sticker button. After dinner is our craft time together. She’s wearing her new felt ball necklace and a purple polka dot feather hair piece, our recent creations.

She did potty #2 last Thursday for the very first time. Her nanny left Chloe’s poop in the potty for me to see when I came home from work. Uhm, thanks Jen. I told Chloe, that I want to buy her a present. She didn’t pause for a second to tell me what she wanted.
She wanted purple Crocs. Her best friend Tirra has them apparently. I cannot believe Chloe is already asking for things that her friends have. She is so into shoes and knows the different types of shoes, "…this is my tennis shoes, that’s my sandal, that’s my jellyshoes, my boots, flip flops… they’re not comfortable but I want to wear them!"  She got the flip flops as a present from Eura but since they are big on her, Chloe fell on her knees a few time at daycare. However, she keeps insisting on wearing them even though she tells me that they are uncomfortable.

Her nanny pointed out that Chloe is compromising fashion over comfort. ALREADY!?!?

Every other night, Chloe and I do projects together before bed. These are from last week.

food, flowers, fairy wings & rings

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

After church, we decided to spend the afternoon in Sugar Loaf in upstate NY.

We had lunch at Barn Cider,

smelled flowers,

(I love the face Chloe makes when she’s smelling)

we then bought Chloe wings and she became a fairy,

and we found two rings that actually fit her fingers.

thank you!

We have been featured here. We had the pleasure of knowing Bentley Waters when we hired her to photograph Chloe’s first birthday in 2007. She’s a very lovely and talented person and we definitely want her back to shoot Shane’s first birthday for sure! Thank you for mentioning my website. We look forward to seeing you soon!

anniversary gifts

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

I rarely buy jewelries because, well, I can make them myself. On top of that, I’m a very picky shopper so Andrew gets really stressed out during the holidays and anniversaries. I always have told him I didn’t want anything (big mistake! ;) ) so I never really gotten a real official gift from him. When we walked around west village on Sunday, I saw these two beautiful rings at Lori Mclean store and I really loved them. But I didn’t want to spend money…as always, so we just walked out of the store and went to dinner.
Then last night, Andrew surprised me with those rings. I love them!:) I especially love the fact that they are unique and handmade by a local designer.
The right picture is a gift I got for Andrew. It’s a compass cufflinks so he can always find his way home. :) Made by RISD alumi.
