photoshoot

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

One of our very talented art directors that I work with, David, is also a wedding photographer. He did us a huge favor by shooting the whole family for next to nothing this morning at Central Park. Chloe had so much fun with him. When we got home, she kept asking "where did David go? Is he coming back? Where is David?"  When she got tired after the shoot, she asked David to carry her.

Thank you David for a wonderful time!  Can’t wait to see the photos.

Turns out, Chloe’s too young for Hershey’s park. We’ve asked several people at the hotel to see if it was appropriate for little children like Chloe and they all said it’s great. So we paid over $100 to go in and ride the merry-go-around 6 times. Boo hoo! That was it.

We checked out the zoo and that was cool. But the best part was sitting on the bench in the shade with the kids and eating a small cup of $10 ice cream dots. If I sound bitter, I’m not. I just wished we checked out the awesome outlet stores instead…

Overall, the trip was tons of fun because I got to be with my kids and my husband! It doesn’t matter where we went.

dutch wonderland

Chloe’s fascinated with princesses and castles these days. At this story telling event, a princess was telling a story to all these children sitting around listening…but not Chloe. She walked right up to the pricess and stood right in front of her, getting the best seat in the house as she stared and hung around the princess at arms length.

What a fund day we had! This place is like a heaven for small children.

lancaster

We stayed in this cute boutique hotel in downtown Lancaster, PA. It’s a cute town with many private galleries which we couldn’t go because they were all closed for the holiday. bummer… But the hotel had enough paintings and sculptures that were very interesting.

When we were eating breakfast outside on the patio, Chloe made a few friends with guests and the hotel staff. She went around and made sure she said hi to everyone, letting them know that she’s going to a Pennsylvania park.

mother and daughter moment

Chloe has been talking a lot about how much she loves her yoga and dance classes at the day care. She’s asked several times to buy her a ballet dress so she can go to a ballet class too. It would be cool if she became a dancer and live my secret dream. 😉

standing up for himself

When I come home, both kids get super excited. They drop everything that they were doing and rush to give me hugs.
Seriously, by far, it’s the BEST moment of my day. Normally, I would grab Chloe first then reach out to Shane.
Today, however, Chloe acted a little jealous and wanted me to hold her only. She tried to push Shane aside and that’s when he stood up and started to loudly say, “aaaaah, uuuuhhh, aaaaaaaah, aaaaaaaah”, which to me it sounded like “back off Sis” in baby language. I was so surprised because I’ve never heard that kind of tone from him before.
