SKIING@ POCONOS

Wednesday, December 30th, 2020

Kids and I met up with our friends to ski for the day and we had a great time! Skiing was fun even though it was bit icy but what what I enjoyed the most was seeing some of our friends faces in person after many months of zoom meetings.
I finally invested in ski gears this year for the first time in my life so I’ll be looking for more opportunities to ski this winter locally.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Friday, December 25th, 2020

Since getting the puppy was a big gift to our family this year, we decided we are not really doing gifts this Christmas. However, Shane still wanted to buy presents for everyone and surprised Chloe, Andrew and his grandparents! I took him shopping a couple days ago while doing few errands and he picked out a 14k gold Amethyst earring for Chloe since she just got her ears pierced and a box of flavored syrup for coffee for his big coffee drinker dad, a hairdryer for his grandma and a thermo mug for grandpa. I was so proud of him, I told him I want to get him something for Christmas too and he said, he doesn’t want anything. That he has everything he needs and he likes giving more than receiving. He. Has. The. Heart. Of. GOLD.

My parents gifts to Andrew

and I got him this dude.

And here’s the sweetest present for us all!

After the Christmas service, we watched a Christmas movie…with Miles wedged between me and Chloe.

MAKING GINGERBREAD MANSION

Thursday, December 24th, 2020

This gingerbread mansion took two days to make! I thought it would be a fun activity to do it with Chloe but she was NOT interested at all. So Shane stepped up (out of pity, I think) and helped me with it and we actually ended up staying up late last night and having so much fun while getting high in sugar. I say we make this mother & son tradition! What do you say kiddo?

CRUNCH TIME

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020

It’s been a whirlwind last few days… My dad was admitted to an ER at around mid-night on Saturday for infection in gallbladder and he ended up having a cholecystectomy surgery on Monday night. The surgeon said he would’ve gone to ICU if he waited longer because the infection spread to his blood, which is very dangerous. I’m just so thankful we made it on time… My dad thought it was just indigestion and he thought he would wait it out but BIG THANK YOU to my friend Julie, who persistently kept telling me to take him to an ER., which saved his life.
The hospital was so busy with covid patients, not only I was not allowed to stay with him, it was very stressful getting any updates on status and there seemed to be some miscommunications between the surgeon, nurses, and his assigned primary doctor, and a lot of waiting periods not knowing what was really going on. But in the end, it all worked out and we are just so thankful to God that he is okay.

So… I’m just getting around to mailing out the Christmas cards tonight and I need all hands on deck!
