family dinner

Sunday, September 30th, 2012

Today is Korean thanksgiving day so I invited a few of my in-law families over for a simple dinner.
So today we went to church in the morning, then went to the city, then came home, went  grocery shopping then cooked for 10 people.
Man, it was a busy day!

Pumpkin and apples from yesterday.

What a great weekend!

This farm had beautiful views everywhere I looked. I didn’t pay much attention to picking apples because I was too busy taking pictures.

Shrimp cheviche

Instead of onions I added raw beets for some crunch. I love onions but sometimes it can be too spicy for kids.

I like to eat raw beets. It’s super sweet and pretty.

Bite size taco?

another birthday in the house

It’s true that since Shane was born, Andrew’s birthday has been overshadowed… So I tried to make something special tonight.

Baby back ribs with forbidden black rice.

Chloe decorated the cupcakes.

Happy birthday partner!

fun day

Sunday, September 23rd, 2012

I was so exhausted after the party. Not to mention, our house was a mess from all the left over props/food/presents. I was trying to clean the house while the kids were making a bigger mess by opening all the presents. There was wrapping papers and toy boxes everywhere. After hiding some of the presents in the basement, I decided to take the kids out of the house for the sake of my sanity! Oh yeah, the hubby came down with a cold and he was in bed all day too. Boo.

So we went to Family fun day event and met up with a few friends.

My friend came to my rescue and graciously invited me and the kids over for dinner. Thank goodness…a hearty meal. I didn’t have the strength to make dinner and didn’t want more delivery food after yesterday.

Delicious home made favorites!

I also found out that they were also celebrating birthdays. More cakes!

Thank you for your kind hospitality! We truly are so thankful for your friendship in Christ. Thank you Sang family & happy birthdays to you guys too!
