This morning I woke up before sunrise and climbed the stairs to the top of the island where the castle is. On my way up, I was lead to pray for the people of Croatia. I was deeply touched by how genuinely nice and warm the people are here. Everyone whom we came encounter with, all of them were super friendly and just so genuine. I wanted to send my blessing prayers to the people of God living here, and also wondering/asking God how many of His people are here… While I was praying and walking around the streets, I felt the blessing of God filling my heart… Then to my surprise, on my way down, I could hear people singing hymns. I thought at first, it was a music coming from a house or something, then I came to a stop. There was a Sunday worship going on inside this small church and people were spilled out on to the square in front of it because the church was packed inside. People are standing outside worshiping. Praying and praising. I stood there in awe and joined them for a little while before I left. What a blessing that I got to witness this! That I could join in worship with my family here. What a glorious morning.
We wanted something casual for dinner after a long day and we were exhausted to get dressed up for dining, so we decided to just pick up pizza and empanadas (from the same place as yesterday) for dinner. Boy, was it a smart choice. We just got pizza from the most convenient place to us and it was SO good. I usually don’t like to eat pizza in the States, but anywhere in Europe, I do. I know I sound a bit of a snob when it comes to certain food…
Then for dessert, I had this dark chocolate with olive oil I purchased from this cute shop I found in Stari Grad.
One of the oldest city in Europe, Stari Grad is an idyllic destination. Tucked into a deep bay, this picture-perfect town is steeped in history and has many cute little restaurants and shops in every allies. Such a beautiful town!
Wife, Mother, jewelry designer & graphic designer /Creative Director, I am HaeWon Cadence Ryu. This is a glimpse into my life’s blessings, passion and inspiration.
This blog came to fruition after I began motherhood; I wanted to be able to capture every millestone of my two beautiful children - Chloe & Shane as they journey through their early years. Since the launch of my online jewelry site, cadencelee.com, I’ve come face-to-face with having to juggle multiple roles. As a result, I have decided to feature some of my designs and inspiration alongside postings of my precious family. For me, this is the perfect medium of work-life balance.
