Came back to the hotel, and couldn’t resist diving into the cool water for the last night swim! Shane was my horse, and he purposely dragged me under with him!

God gifted us with yet another beautiful sunset for our last night. We enjoyed walking the beautifully landscaped promenade by the sea in the bay of Lapad.
We celebrated our last night in Croatia at this popular pizza joint called Papillon Pizzeria in Lapad neighborhood. We enjoyed walking around and really bonded with kids during the walk. The best part of this vacation, I have to say is the spending quality time with kids and each other. We’ve had so much time, just catching up on every detail of our lives… I’m going to really treasure every moment we had in this beautiful place.
As soon as we came back to the hotel, we jumped into the pool to cool off! This view is priceless.
While boys wanted to stay cool in the hotel, Chloe and I walked to Old town in the heat. It was hot but we managed to walk around and had a very nice day just the two of us. She is the best travel buddy!!
Amazing food @ Arsenal Gradska Kavana
This is the last full day here in Croatia. I’m so sad.
We hired a taxi to drive us to the top of the hill after the dinner for scenic views of the city. What a breathtaking views!
Our hotel made an arrangement at Dubrava restaurant to prepare Peka dish for dinner tonight. Peka is a traditional Croatian dish, a roast meal of either meat or seafood with potatoes and assorted vegetables. Chloe and I shared roasted octopus. And boy! it was the best octopus I ever had. It literally melted in my mouth. The side of homemade fresh donuts with whipped butter was a perfect pairing. Oh I’m going to miss the food here when I get back. 🙁
