merry christmas

We took the kids to the city to see the tree at the Rockerfeller Center. After taking over two hours to get the kids dressed, fed and packing our suitcase full of diapers, milk, snacks, juice, blankets, toys, etc…, when we finally got there it was way too cold and crowded to hang outside. We didn’t even get to the Christmas window displays in stores that I wanted to see and ended up rushing back home in an hour. I have to say that it was still worth it for me to get out there. For me, being in the middle of New York City is the best way to celebrate this wonderful day, even if it was only for few minutes and (no matter what Andrew would tell you. ;)) There’s still a city girl in me after living in a ‘burb for over 7 years!

I feel very fortunate that Chloe loves her little brother Shane so much. I honestly thought that she would get jealous of her brother but very thankfully she’s been so great to him. She knows that she has to be gentle with him and I think that she wants to take good care of him too. Just a few days ago, Chloe pointed at his diaper and told me, "mommy, change diaper".
