Kids went off on their own to trick-or-treat with their friends after school today. I came home after dropping them off and turned on my kindle to read but then fell asleep within minutes. It was my kind of Halloween, the most relaxing kind…;)
We are @ New York University this morning because Chloe’s performing at The Youth Music Festival this afternoon. She’s playing a duet, a piece called, All for One, One for All, composed by a NYU student. She’s been working hard for the last two months and we are so excited for this opportunity. Youth Music Festival is a collaborative way of sharing original new music by student composers at NYU, played by young musicians and their teachers.
Here’s 11 things about Shane: 1. He loves to play basketball. In fact, he never leaves the house without his basketball in his hand regardless of where he’s going.. 2. Loves playing video games. Duh. 3. He loves to read. If he’s not playing basketball outside or playing video games in the basement, he’s reading somewhere in the house while eating apples. 4. He always eats an apple a day. 5. In private, he’s very loving, tells me multiple times a day that he loves me and gives lots of kisses and snuggles. He holds my hand when I drive. But in public, it’s a different story. 6. Makes friends with anyone. 7. Tries very hard at school. 8. When it matters, he’s there for you. Always. 9. He thinks Wegman’s has the best sushi. Hmmm. 10. He loves music. 11. He’s a morning person. But only on weekends.
Shane turned ELEVEN today! This guy asks nothing for his birthday besides a sweatshirt and a new headset for his games.
Hey Mammas boy, no matter how old you’re, you’ll always be my beautiful baby, a perfect gift from God and our biggest joy! I love you and daddy loves you too but God loves you most! Happy birthday my handsome son!
Today is also our church’s 20th anniversary so we are going to our special anniversary concert at GRC!
Wife, Mother, jewelry designer & graphic designer /Creative Director, I am HaeWon Cadence Ryu. This is a glimpse into my life’s blessings, passion and inspiration.
This blog came to fruition after I began motherhood; I wanted to be able to capture every millestone of my two beautiful children - Chloe & Shane as they journey through their early years. Since the launch of my online jewelry site, cadencelee.com, I’ve come face-to-face with having to juggle multiple roles. As a result, I have decided to feature some of my designs and inspiration alongside postings of my precious family. For me, this is the perfect medium of work-life balance.
