Visiting Ege NYC in Hudson yard
I’m super excited that not only I get this rare opportunity to spend alone time with Shane, he’s actually been looking forward to going to the city with me. The last time I was in the city with just Shane was in 2012…
Maybe he’s most excited about eating ramen, but I’m ok with that because I have a really fun day planned for him!
Breakfast @ Blue bottle coffee
Boys came out to the city to join us for dinner @ Buddakan. A perfect ending to a perfect day in the city!
Chloe’s been going to the gym with me this summer trying yoga and running on treadmill and Shane started Tennis camp & basketball camp.
Kids and I had a sushi lunch after Sunday service <3
We loved the beach and so did Miles. If he was not in the water with us or chasing the waves, he was digging in the sand. He fits so well with our family. 🙂
Waterfront Restaurant & Sunset Bar.
Eating in Outer banks restaurants was not easy. None or a very few of the restaurants took reservations or over-the-phone take-out orders. We had to go in-person, put our names down and wait. Our airbnb didn’t have a full kitchen, so everyday was an adventure looking for restaurants to eat with outdoor seating where they allow dogs. Finding a place permitting dogs wasn’t hard but getting seats in general was difficult. Some places we had to wait over an hour for a table, or we had to go eat when they first open.
Tonight we got so lucky in this popular eatery, because I guess no one wanted to eat outside due to very strong wind, but it worked out so well for us. We got a table right away right behind a staircase which provided a cool shade and shelter from wind. And their frozen margarita was what I needed to cool off from the heat of the day.
This tour could’ve been skipped. I was not impressed with their wild horses… and we all felt pretty nauseous in the jeep, driving in the bumpy sand… Andrew stayed in the house because of Miles. Lucky guy. This reminded me of our Whale watch excursion in Maine a couple of years ago… From now on, I’m not going anywhere where Andrew’s not going.
