Tonights special: Maryland Blue Crabs

My parents arrived from Korea last week and they brought one of my nephews to spend this summer with us! We are so happy to have you!

So this year, we have two great dads in the house!

Ready for a party!

Andrew’s left yesterday for a business trip to Scotland and UK.
Chloe was sad about her dad leaving especially because he’ll miss mother’s day. She was also sick with a cold and allergies that she was stressing about for days for not being able to do much for me on mother’s day. She really is the sweetest girl!! As any mother’s would say, it’s the thought that counts! I know her heart and I am just so thankful for her love for me and her caring heart… I am so blessed!

She didn’t get me a beautiful breakfast-in-bed, but she did prepare breakfast for all of us, a simple toast and breakfast drinks before leaving early for church this morning.  She’s the best!

For lunch, I thought it would be nice to have my in-laws over for a meal to celebrate this special day with them . We had a lovely time. Happy mother’s day!

We have friends coming over to play with us and this is what I prepared.

Shane had fun with 3 boys and Chloe was busying being an excellent host playing and taking care of two little girls.  

These cuties made this delicious looking “not-your-cheese”  plate.

I made wings and chili for the occasion.

Everyone did a beautiful job decorating their mugs.

Thanks for coming everyone! Chloe had an awesome time to say the least. During the party when everyone left the table and decided to run around the house playing game, Chloe came to me several times to give me hugs and tell me how thankful she was that I planned this. Oh my Lord.. I’m so amazed and so thankful I have a daughter like her… Happy birthday my beautiful baby!

After baking and setting up for the party all day, I got cleaned up to go to Andrew’s company holiday party tonight. Kids are having separate sleepovers tonight at their friends, (thanks to the Lee family & the Gr**wald family!) Andrew and I are off to the city for the rest of the afternoon!

One thing even before she decided to have her birthday party was that she really wanted to do was making her own birthday cake. So with my little help, that’s exactly what she did!
