Boys stayed home while Chloe and I joined our town folks celebrating the Independence Day.
It was raining cats and dogs, making our drive back very difficult and slow, but then there they were… Double rainbow ! !
Chloe found this gem in town of Manteo, NC that she wanted to visit. It’s a lovely historical botanical garden with plant displays & an antique statuary.
This 426-acre park has the largest natural living sand dune on the East Coast. This is a very unique and undoubtedly the coolest thing we experienced. We walked along the path and found ourselves in the middle of sand dunes. We loved climb up and running down over and over again and enjoyed the beautiful view of the sunset.
We are staying at Williamsburg Lodge, Autograph Collection tonight and what a cute place this is.
They are both in the thick of finals this week and they are helping each other study for French by quizzing each other. Love listening to them study together. Haha, this’s parents’ dream!
Opening soon…
This gingerbread mansion took two days to make! I thought it would be a fun activity to do it with Chloe but she was NOT interested at all. So Shane stepped up (out of pity, I think) and helped me with it and we actually ended up staying up late last night and having so much fun while getting high in sugar. I say we make this mother & son tradition! What do you say kiddo?
