Kitchen renovation started in January and it’s a very slow process. I realized all the kitchen hardwares are backed up until April and some are made to order… While waiting for new faucets to arrive, I painted all the trims around the kitchen area.
My happy son helped me make Dduk Guk (Korean rice cake soup) !
Had a few of my girl friends over for a very festive holiday dinner.
I made roasted golden beets salad with truffle burrata, lamb chops with rosemary & garlic as appetizers, and for main, I served Frutti di Mare with lobster.
For dessert, I combined red wine, star anise, cinnamon stick, cloves, brown sugar, boiled with berries then after it was cooled and chilled, I topped it with frozen yogurt. It was such a refreshing yummy treat.
Happy birthday my sweet girl!!! You make me so incredibly proud to be your mom and I thank God each day for what a beautiful gift you are to me. You are that cool girl I always wished I could be! You are only sixteen but you are a warrior. You are brave in all the ways that matter. You stand firm in what you believe and you don’t waver at the dramas around you. I am in awe of the beautiful young woman you are and becoming. Love you so much, my firstborn child!
