I’ve been working on upgrading our dining room since last November and it’s coming along nicely. After installing this gorgeous dark floral wallpaper from Ellie Cashman which I’m absolutely still in love with, I purchased a new Sanger chandelier from Aerin and got new set of chairs from One Kings Lane which was a lot of work to put together.
After those purchases, I had to save money somewhere so I made the drapery by learning from youtube tutorials on how to make French-pleat drapery. It was not an easy task and nowhere perfect but I’m happy with how they turned out. 🙂 More updates to come…
I have a very fun day planned for my kids in the city today.
First, eat cake for breakfast at Dominique Ansel Bakery.
Chloe chose the infamous cronut & tiramisu that’s in the shape of NYC coffee cup for her breakfast.
Shane got French toast and I got a spinach and gruyere quiche.
Though the kids loved the idea of eating sweets for breakfast, they barely could finish half of theirs, saying everything was too sweet. They ended up sharing my quiche.. Lol.
Well, the reason we came all the way out to Williamsburg, was for Andrew to take this girl to the S L I M E E X P O .
Andrew, you win the best dad award of the day.
Wife, Mother, jewelry designer & graphic designer /Creative Director, I am HaeWon Cadence Ryu. This is a glimpse into my life’s blessings, passion and inspiration.
This blog came to fruition after I began motherhood; I wanted to be able to capture every millestone of my two beautiful children - Chloe & Shane as they journey through their early years. Since the launch of my online jewelry site, cadencelee.com, I’ve come face-to-face with having to juggle multiple roles. As a result, I have decided to feature some of my designs and inspiration alongside postings of my precious family. For me, this is the perfect medium of work-life balance.
