awesome day in the city with chloe
Saturday, March 21st, 2015Chloe and I had a date today in the city. I had dinner plans with my friends and I thought it would be fun for her to come and tag along.
During dinner, Chloe sat quietly next to me and read her book while I caught up with my girlfriends.
Dinner at Mokbar in Chelsea market.
Then we moved our venue to a wine bar where Chloe finished the book that she started reading today while enjoyed a hot chocolate. Yeah…I was that mom who brings a kid to a bar.
10PM and she was happy as a clam. I got to spend the entire day with my favorite girl in the world!
fresh bread anyone?
Saturday, February 21st, 2015We found this awesome bakery not too far from us that allows customers to go inside where all kinds of baked creations are made and pick their own breads.
Chloe picked out some fresh warm bagels right out of the oven !
I think we might have to add this to our weekend to do list. So cool!
moma & lion king
Wednesday, February 18th, 2015This morning we spent a couple of hours in MoMA looking at paintings. Kids enjoyed seeing Vincent Van Gogh & Henri Matisse’s paintings especially.
We’re so excited to see the Lion King!!
The production of the show exceeded all my expectations. When they opened with “The Circle of Life”, and seeing how the set, costumes and lights brought to life on the stage, I almost cried because it was so beautiful. I’m so glad I got to experience the show with my kids who appreciated it so much. The very first thing Shane said to me when it was over, was “Mom, thank you so much for bringing us here to see the show. I loved it!”
My kids were awesome audiences!
cooking camp – day 2
Tuesday, February 17th, 2015breakfast made easy
Monday, January 19th, 2015We got bar stools for the island in the kitchen. It’s so much easier to serve them breakfast on the island and saves me a lot of time during busy mornings.
shane’s room
Thursday, January 15th, 2015Thanks to our friend Danny & husband, we finally painted Shane’s room last weekend. It wasn’t an easy task as he has such a high ceiling that required an extension ladder to reach the top.
This wall will display Shane’s art work + some of my paintings which I’m working on.
Purchased this papier-mâché stag head from here.
To be continued…
merry christmas!
Thursday, December 25th, 2014This girl woke us up at 2 am to ask us if she can go downstairs to turn on the Christmas lights outside so Santa can see our house, at 4 am to ask us if she can sleep with us, at 5 am to ask us if we can get up at 6 am instead of 7 am and finally at 7 am because that’s when we promised her we would get up. I don’t think she slept last night.
We were super tired…even Shane was.
Chloe got me Chloe key chain. 🙂
Both kids got me jewelry for me. How sweet. They know what I like. 🙂
Dehydrator for me from Andrew… oh yay… I’m so happy…but why am I hearing sad trombone sound in my ear…
