happy 40! { friend’s b-day celebration }
Saturday, January 25th, 2014Surprise!
The food was amazing. I felt so stuffed and pretty content.
The birthday girl
Not only her sweet husband successfully organized this surprise party, he even got the cake from momofuku.
Happy birthday Amy! You look the same as when I first met you 16 years ago.
Insanely delicious homemade donut with bacon chips to finish the night.
first time skiing
Saturday, January 25th, 2014Group of friends and our family got together and put the kids in ski lessons this morning.
Shane, waiting to go down the slope.
Chloe, walking up the hill with her instructor and friends.
She can’t stop smiling!
Chloe and her friends did so well. The instructor complimented the girls for doing really well and also being so nice and supportive of each other. Â She said whenever one of them fell, the other helped her to get up and waited patiently.
Good job, girls. I’m so proud of you!
We parents got to catch up while the kids took lessons. Good times…
Despite the brutally cold snowy weather, all of us really enjoyed the day.

Tuesday, December 24th, 2013this is 7!
Saturday, December 14th, 2013Chloe can be very shy outside of home so she’s super excited that she’s going to have her entire classmate of girls over. I know she really misses her friends from her previous school and had a rough time adjusting to a new environment so I’m hoping this would be a great way for her to open up and build closer friendships. Chloe said,”so, my friends will see my OTHER side today” with a big smile.
Andrew and I went back and forth about the idea of having the party at home or somewhere else, but in the end, I thought having it at home would be more special for everyone. Plus I love planning a girly party. 🙂
Nice to meet you my beautiful and sweet guests!
They are all equally so so so silly.
Thank goodness for my awesome helper/babysitter!
Does it look like an unicorn? I had some challenging requests by demanding customers…
Much needed beauty sleep…
This literally lasted a couple seconds.
Shane, eating candy canes by the fire and watching the girls.
Thank you so much for coming and celebrating Chloe’s birthday! ! !

Friday, December 13th, 2013happy thanksgiving!
Wednesday, November 27th, 2013I’m thankful for my husband Andrew and our more mature relationship this year. God knows we’ve had our ups and downs… but because God is loyal and constant and His promise never fails, we are together. I’m thankful that I have a bestie who has my back and would go insane and crazy karate kick anybody and anything that hurt me. (Not that I encourage that…)
I’m thankful for our kids for their sense of humor, laughter, silliness and most of all their faith in God.
I’m thankful for my such loving and caring parents and my mother-in-law who would drop their lives at once and come if we ever need them.
I’m thankful for our beautiful new house.
I’m thankful for my trials and hardships. (otherwise how would I ever grow?)
I’m thankful for all my families in west coast and in Korea.
I’m thankful for my dear friends… I would never take any of you for granted. You know who you are. Love you guys!
I’m thankful for my church, my families in Christ.
***Special thanks to uncle Ben who took these beautiful family pictures!***
