Chloe’s daisy girl scout troop is planting flowers at the Borough Hall this afternoon.

Shane and I went to our town library while we waited for Chloe. I was getting myself a book and when I came back I found him here… in a swan chair.

This was Saturday.

Chloe read

I baked french toast

and made chicken teriyaki for lunch

Shane had a playdate

I painted, ( this one titled, “road to hana” )

Andrew went golfing,

and Chloe had a girl scout event.

I drove out to the city twice last week for dinner and drinks with my girl friends. I know. I’m a party animal. Before this week, I hardly ever drove to NYC… This is a whole new me now! 🙂

I stopped by Whole foods yesterday and they had massive selections of tulips and peonies.

Lilac flower is from our tree in the backyard.

Chloe was invited to a “rock star” theme birthday party and got a makeover.

The entire first graders sang together this morning. They did a wonderful job singing.
I bawled my eyes out watching my baby girl not looking like a baby anymore. She’s really grown…

I was beyond impressed by their fantastic performance. Hats off to all of you!

After the concert, we came to her class where the kids did presentations on their countries.

Other parents brought in their traditional food…except for me.

Chloe did an awesome job representing France. 🙂

We’re finally having some nice weather around here.

In the afternoon, we went to our friend’s house to play.

They ordered Mighty Quinn’s Bbq. Oh yeah…

One of our neighbors organized a dinner party so we can get to know them and all of our neighbors too. How sweet! I made mini fish tacos to bring to the party.

We had  a blast ! I feel so lucky that we have such nice neighbors who are so warm and generous. 🙂

We’ve been dreaming about this place since the last time we were here a few years ago.

We always order the same dishes. 😉 Can’t go wrong here.

For appetizers, I did lots of differnet kind of cheese, bread, crackers, olives, dried and some fresh fruits and cured meats (basically no cooking required).

For side dish, I made crunch noodle salad

Our guest brought this wonderful flourless double chocolate cake with homemade raspberry sauce. Yummy way to finish the night. Thank you all for coming!

Today, I’m going Tex Mex style.

I made Rock shrimp Torta with serrano grapefruit salsa and cabbage slaw to go with it.

Since I made the shrimp really spicy, I also made chicken salad with avocado and cranberry in pita bread just for the little ones.

After the guests left, we played monopoly for the first time. I loved playing board games with kids! Wow, this is a beginning of a new chapter.
