Kids sang during Sunday service today. 

I was asked to plan a very simple baby shower for a colleague at work so this is what I did. 

I love those giant balloons. 🙂

For dinner I made bruschetta with homemade herbed ricotta cheese (no picture), 

Roasted beet salad with truffle goat cheese,

Truffle tagliatelle pasta

Porcini mushroom and rosemary crusted beef tenderloin with port wine sauce

Another fantastic time with friends!

For appetizers, I had sliced salami, cheese, fig jam and crackers in one plate and dates & gorgonzola cheese drizzled with honey on the other.

The rub recipe was amazing.

8 adults, 4 bottles of wine… I say we had a good time. 🙂

I’m getting ready to host a dinner party tomorrow. When I’m planning a party the first thing I do is buy fresh flowers and set the tables. Nothing transforms the room and gets me in the mood for party like beautiful floral arrangements.

I don’t normally get to plan play dates for my kids and I always feel bad for that. Since the kids are off this week, I worked from home today and was able to have one of Chloe’s friends over for a play.

After work, I also got to  enjoy a little R&R…

It’s our last night in Steamboat. It’s been an amazing week spending time skiing on the beautiful mountain and to be hosted by this lovely couple. We’ll miss you so much!

Judy’s been putting leftover food right in front of their house for this fox come and eat every night and I got to see this sneaky little pretty animal last night! So cute!

We took a hot chocolate break with Mr. Ken.

Then we went down on two more blacks – Cyclon and Upper Valley trails.

We met with kids after ski school and spent the last afternoon in Steamboat skiing together.

What an incredible week it has been! Kids have improved so much. Chloe’s skiing comfortably on blues and Shane’s tried a half pipe and likes to find little jumps while skiing various trails.
