I had an emergency appendectomy surgery and I’m home today after spending a couple days in a hospital. That was wild. I’m thankful it wasn’t anything serious and God delivered great hands to treat and heal me. So thankful for all the nurses, and doctors who took such good care of me with such kindness and for my friends who reached out, prayed, sent me food as soon as I got home and got groceries for the whole family! Feeling overwhelmed with a grateful heart… Thank you Kayla and Anna for the dinner and groceries!!
We’re having special guests this evening and I made, watermelon feta salad, Mexican street corns, guacamole, lobster rolls, and for dessert, peach cobbler.
We played Basketball, golf, tried skateboard tricks and ended the night with badminton game. Thank you Noel family for coming over to play with us! We are so grateful for your ministry!
My weekly Tuesday Bible study group began meeting half zoom and half face to face. It is so good to be back, seeing some of the woman I really missed speaking in person!
My kids are also happy they can play with their friends during the study! A perfect reunion.
A group of boys from Shane’s basketball team got together for a “home camp” with a basketball coach coming to a house. This is the first time he got to see his friends since mid-March and he couldn’t be happier! He’ll do this three time a week for 3 weeks this summer, for now.
My bi-weekly Thursday Bible study met in person for the first time in almost 4 months! Zoom meetings were great during quarantine but this was soooo much better! So thankful for the gorgeous weather too~
Today we had our first family outing at our friend’s house in town since March. It was so much fun and much needed human interaction while we still social distanced. We completely lost sense of time and stayed all afternoon. Thank you Chung family for the amazing time with your lovely family! So good to catch up in person!
We couldn’t just let my special friend’s major milestone birthday pass by, so a few of us decided to surprise her this afternoon with some desserts, champagne and wine. We hung out in the backyard and it was so so good to see everyone face to face! Missed you guys so much!!! We’ll celebrate again when things settle into normalcy….
Her husband and her girls put together a birthday wish video from all of the people in her life, so I did my part. What a sweet idea!
A few friends did a drive-by car parade for our friend’s birthday. This is what it came down to… It was still nice to see friends and chat 6 feet apart.
Wife, Mother, jewelry designer & graphic designer /Creative Director, I am HaeWon Cadence Ryu. This is a glimpse into my life’s blessings, passion and inspiration.
This blog came to fruition after I began motherhood; I wanted to be able to capture every millestone of my two beautiful children - Chloe & Shane as they journey through their early years. Since the launch of my online jewelry site, cadencelee.com, I’ve come face-to-face with having to juggle multiple roles. As a result, I have decided to feature some of my designs and inspiration alongside postings of my precious family. For me, this is the perfect medium of work-life balance.
