Kids and I woke up at 5:30 am and left the house by 6:30 am to go ski on the Plattekill mountain! We were the first three to ski on the beautifully groomed trails when they just opened. Oh what fun! That made the 2.5 hrs of driving on the downpour icy rain all worth it! Our friends joined us in mid-morning and we had a blast skiing non stop. This mountain is small but the fact that we never had to wait in line for a lift, was pretty sweet. On the ride back, kids were saying how much fun they had and they rated today as 9 out of 10. I say that’s a success!
Kids and I got up at 5:45am this morning to get to Blue Mt to ski with Lin family! It’s been years since we skied with them and we had so much fun. It’s nice to just follow the pros without looking at the map and deciding which trails to take. With so much snow we’ve been getting this winter, the snow conditions were unbelievable. The best, as far as I could remember in the East coast.
Kids and I met up with our friends to ski for the day and we had a great time! Skiing was fun even though it was bit icy but what what I enjoyed the most was seeing some of our friends faces in person after many months of zoom meetings. I finally invested in ski gears this year for the first time in my life so I’ll be looking for more opportunities to ski this winter locally.
Chloe wanted to hang out with her friends and walk around neighborhood town on her birthday. All I heard was little giggles and laughters from them the entire time they were together. Such a lovely and sweet group of friends!
She also dropped this lovely “thankful” pumpkin so our family can write down what we are thankful for. I am so thankful for your friendship and blessed to call you my sister!
Wife, Mother, jewelry designer & graphic designer /Creative Director, I am HaeWon Cadence Ryu. This is a glimpse into my life’s blessings, passion and inspiration.
This blog came to fruition after I began motherhood; I wanted to be able to capture every millestone of my two beautiful children - Chloe & Shane as they journey through their early years. Since the launch of my online jewelry site, cadencelee.com, I’ve come face-to-face with having to juggle multiple roles. As a result, I have decided to feature some of my designs and inspiration alongside postings of my precious family. For me, this is the perfect medium of work-life balance.
