We have friends coming over to play with us and this is what I prepared.

Shane had fun with 3 boys and Chloe was busying being an excellent host playing and taking care of two little girls.

Persian Night

Friday, March 31st, 2017

Going out to a fun house party with my friend tonight.

This party was amazing! They had Persian dance performances and a DJ and dance floor… I’m sitting at one of their bars in the “basement”. Thanks Susan for inviting us! It’s been a while since I went out partying until midnight. What.

Talk about a wine cellar.

It’s always a good time with these two visiting us. <3

Snow Day~

Tuesday, March 14th, 2017

We woke up with giant snowballs coming down from the sky. I’ve never seen such big chucks of snow falling before. Yay, snow day!

I made broccoli cheddar quiche for breakfast and Chloe and I made apple crisp for mid morning snack. Thank you God for the day off. 🙂

Dinner & A Movie

Sunday, March 5th, 2017

I made spicy tuna rolls for dinner and we ate it in front of TV, watching a movie. Not something I normally let them do, but it’s just me and the kids and it’s Sunday, so I thought why not…

Cookies & Books

Sunday, March 5th, 2017

For dessert, Ms. Chloe baked red velvet cookies.

When it was done, she parked herself with her book and she was in her own world.

Shane also joined in. So proud of him for reading a lot these days too. He’s gotten into reading Rick Riordan’s The Heroes of Olympus Series and really enjoying it.

A perfect afternoon.

Homemade Poke

Sunday, March 5th, 2017

I love Poke and it’s so easy to make it at home.

I used wild yellowfin tuna steak and yellowtail and marinated it with soy sauce, sesame oil and honey. Throw in some seaweed salad, scallions and cucumbers over rice and that’s pretty much it.

Goodbye Whistler~

We stopped by the village once last time to ice skate and have early dinner before heading back to Vancouver.

Fried pickle.

We’ll miss you ~~

Peak to Peak & Best Slopeside Dinning – Day 5

Thursday, February 23rd, 2017

After a few morning runs, we got on the Peak 2 Peak gondola ride to Blackcomb mountain to have lunch at Christine’s.

Fabulous view, creative and deliciously prepared food & excellent service on top of the mountain! I could have stayed here for all day.

My first Bloody Caesar.
