This is the only restaurant in Stratton village that’s open and lucky for us the food was pretty good!
I woke up this morning feeling much better. I slept through the night without any help from medicine for the first time in 3 weeks. I started getting eased into doing small things like making breakfast and driving. I had to go pick up Shane from his tennis camp and it felt so good to be out driving around town. 🙂
My Growth group families sent us dinner for the whole family today. I have been refusing friend’s food offers but I’m seeing that my mom has been getting too tired from single-handedly managing everyone’s meals for the last three weeks! Even with ordering food from restaurants from time to time, it was getting too much. And with my recent ordeal, I don’t know how much the recovery will take. So I said yes to my friends who wanted to give my mom some break! Wow, they sent so much food, we’ll be eating Italians for the next two night for sure! Thank you Ko’s and Chung’s family for the delicious meals!
So the dumb me thought that I was feeling better this morning so I went out to the garden, tended to it, got some herbs to make pesto pasta for lunch for the family. My mom has been cooking for the whole family and I wanted to help today since I was feeling more energetic… and I did some laundry while I was at it… when the pain back and started throbbing.
So I learned my lesson, took my meds, went back to my bed and promised to do nothing until I see my doctor in 10 days… Oh well, I tried. I just have to close my eyes and ignore all the things I see that needs to be done around the house…
I had an emergency appendectomy surgery and I’m home today after spending a couple days in a hospital. That was wild. I’m thankful it wasn’t anything serious and God delivered great hands to treat and heal me. So thankful for all the nurses, and doctors who took such good care of me with such kindness and for my friends who reached out, prayed, sent me food as soon as I got home and got groceries for the whole family! Feeling overwhelmed with a grateful heart… Thank you Kayla and Anna for the dinner and groceries!!
My mom makes the best seaweed soup and kalbi for all of our birthdays!
We had so much leftover lobsters, I made ramen using lobster broth. So GOOD.
We celebrated my dad’s birthday with a lobster feast. Happy birthday to a loving Dad/Grandfather who loves God and loves his family, a faithful follower of Christ and a devoted husband. Love you Dad!
