I don’t remember the name of the restaurant. It’s was somewhere local and casual that was walking distance the concierge recommended and the food was so good. We were all just picking at each other’s plates because everything was really delicious and fresh! In fact, we haven’t eaten anything that wasn’t good here in Croatia!
Our driver asked us if we wanted to stop by to taste the freshest oysters from this lady that sells on the side of the high way in Mali Stone bay. Yes please! They were so delicate and fresh and the cherry on the top was the price. They were a dollar each!! When I ordered and finished 2 dozens myself, they were laughing at me. I didn’t tell them I could more. 😉
We had our last breakfast here @ Palace Elisabeth and it’s been a wonderful stay. I have to say it is the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in… I’ll really miss this place, food and people here.
We wanted something casual for dinner after a long day and we were exhausted to get dressed up for dining, so we decided to just pick up pizza and empanadas (from the same place as yesterday) for dinner. Boy, was it a smart choice. We just got pizza from the most convenient place to us and it was SO good. I usually don’t like to eat pizza in the States, but anywhere in Europe, I do. I know I sound a bit of a snob when it comes to certain food…
Then for dessert, I had this dark chocolate with olive oil I purchased from this cute shop I found in Stari Grad.
I mean… pressed juices, smoothies, avocado toast, eggs Benedict, fresh fruit, pastries, not to mentioned truffle hash brown and omelette… you name it, they made it the best! AND they brought me this morning’s freshly caught oysters to taste! I don’t think I can ever top this. Can I live here??!!
Hidden off the main drag, we actually found lovely Argentinian restaurant where Andrew showed off his Spanish befriended the owner. Andrew’s been on a long hunt for some authentic Argentinian empanadas and he found it here! Let the record show that he came back here for takeouts two more times while we were in Hvar. It was THAT good.
Wife, Mother, jewelry designer & graphic designer /Creative Director, I am HaeWon Cadence Ryu. This is a glimpse into my life’s blessings, passion and inspiration.
This blog came to fruition after I began motherhood; I wanted to be able to capture every millestone of my two beautiful children - Chloe & Shane as they journey through their early years. Since the launch of my online jewelry site, cadencelee.com, I’ve come face-to-face with having to juggle multiple roles. As a result, I have decided to feature some of my designs and inspiration alongside postings of my precious family. For me, this is the perfect medium of work-life balance.
