I’ve been cooking A LOT since the quarantine started and it’s our first time getting Chinese take out in… I don’t even remember.

outside world

Saturday, May 2nd, 2020

NJ has opened its State parks today so we thought we would check out the world outside of the house. The park we went was crowded with many people not wearing their masks and practicing social distance. We didn’t stay long because despite the beautiful weather, we didn’t enjoy being out with too many people nearby. This new world feels intimidating…

He took off his mask right before getting in the car to give me his best smile. When would we be able to walk around normal, mask free? 🙁

Just another Wednesday

Shane decided he would sleep in Chloe’ hanging chair tonight. Yeah, that lasted an hour before Chloe kicked him out.

I told my family to get dressed nicely but I showed up in my sweatpants. Oops! I was busy cooking in the kitchen and didn’t have time to change. Oh well, at least I look decent from the waist up. lol.

good ol’ pb&j sandwich snack

Friday, April 10th, 2020

We are having a fun movie night tonight. Watching a Back to the Future. Classic. Kids got hungry during the movie, so I made them pb&J sandwiches. Andrew showed them how to properly eat them by dunking it in the cold refreshing milk.

family devotion

Friday, April 10th, 2020

Besides eating these days, what we’ve been really focusing on is family devotion time before bed. We used to skip often or rush through it before when we had normal schedules, but now that we have much free time, kids and I have been trying to spend more time praying and reading scriptures together. They also started reading Bible on their own when they first wake up in the morning. Not everyday and they need constant reminder to do so,  but it’s a start and I’m thankful for these special times. Hopefully we’ll continue faithfully when we get out of the quarantine…
