Besides eating these days, what we’ve been really focusing on is family devotion time before bed. We used to skip often or rush through it before when we had normal schedules, but now that we have much free time, kids and I have been trying to spend more time praying and reading scriptures together. They also started reading Bible on their own when they first wake up in the morning. Not everyday and they need constant reminder to do so, but it’s a start and I’m thankful for these special times. Hopefully we’ll continue faithfully when we get out of the quarantine…
I wanted to capture my 13 year old Chloe in my illustration. I asked her to put on her staple clothes and I took some pictures while she skateboarded, a hobby that she’s really into at the moment. Her current statement outfit is an oversized hoodie, Addias shorts, nike socks and Vans sneakers.
It was a beautiful sunset during my evening walk. I’ve been going for a walk around the neighborhood everyday, usually with my mom or whoever wants to come along with me.
I’m going to actually miss this relaxed family breakfast times when this pandemic is over. The rest of the family already ate and left but these two are taking their time, eating and talking before they decide to go log into school…
Can’t believe this is already our 3rd week of livestream worship! Miss seeing everyone but I’m thankful for this technology. I was also happy to see/chat with my Bible study group virtually this week.
This is what our family worship looks like. Glad everyone’s wearing pants. You know who I’m talking about.
I took a peek inside my parents room while they worship and surprise to see they got so dressed up! My parents are so cute. 🙂
Good to see that these two are spending a lot of time together. Though right now they are doing separate things – Chloe on FaceTime with her friend and Shane watching a basketball game – they chose to be in the same room…
Wife, Mother, jewelry designer & graphic designer /Creative Director, I am HaeWon Cadence Ryu. This is a glimpse into my life’s blessings, passion and inspiration.
This blog came to fruition after I began motherhood; I wanted to be able to capture every millestone of my two beautiful children - Chloe & Shane as they journey through their early years. Since the launch of my online jewelry site, cadencelee.com, I’ve come face-to-face with having to juggle multiple roles. As a result, I have decided to feature some of my designs and inspiration alongside postings of my precious family. For me, this is the perfect medium of work-life balance.
