Another birthday in the books. Happy birthday Andrew!
Chloe and I went groceries which took 2.5 hrs and Shane helped me with cooking slow-cooked beef brisket with pappardelle for dinner. Great teamwork, guys!
This guy!!! He doesn’t ask for anything for his birthday, not a party not even a present! When he came home from school I surprised him with a little outdoor tent dining in the back yard with his favorite food, sushi. I also went crazy and bought all the junk food he has ever asked for in the past which I always said no to, like cheetos, cream soda, etc… when he saw them, he was beyond shocked. Lol. He was so happy (even got teary eyed) and thanked me a million times. He. Melts. My. Heart. Every. Day. Happy birthday to my son! You make me so proud and so happy. Thank you for being who you are. I am so infinity grateful to God for having you in my life. Love you son.
Virtual Phys Ed class happening now in Shane’s bedroom…
Kids have a hybrid schedule where they’ll do virtual learning in the morning and go to school in the afternoon.
They came back from school so happy and full of stories to tell! We sat around kitchen island talking about their friends, new teachers and everything else while eating snacks. I missed this time with kids! I’m so thankful for our teachers, faculty members, administrators and everyone else for all their hard work for preparing and making this possible for the students!

Wife, Mother, jewelry designer & graphic designer /Creative Director, I am HaeWon Cadence Ryu. This is a glimpse into my life’s blessings, passion and inspiration.
This blog came to fruition after I began motherhood; I wanted to be able to capture every millestone of my two beautiful children - Chloe & Shane as they journey through their early years. Since the launch of my online jewelry site, cadencelee.com, I’ve come face-to-face with having to juggle multiple roles. As a result, I have decided to feature some of my designs and inspiration alongside postings of my precious family. For me, this is the perfect medium of work-life balance.
