After the Christmas service, we watched a Christmas movie…with Miles wedged between me and Chloe.
It’s been a whirlwind last few days… My dad was admitted to an ER at around mid-night on Saturday for infection in gallbladder and he ended up having a cholecystectomy surgery on Monday night. The surgeon said he would’ve gone to ICU if he waited longer because the infection spread to his blood, which is very dangerous. I’m just so thankful we made it on time… My dad thought it was just indigestion and he thought he would wait it out but BIG THANK YOU to my friend Julie, who persistently kept telling me to take him to an ER., which saved his life.
The hospital was so busy with covid patients, not only I was not allowed to stay with him, it was very stressful getting any updates on status and there seemed to be some miscommunications between the surgeon, nurses, and his assigned primary doctor, and a lot of waiting periods not knowing what was really going on. But in the end, it all worked out and we are just so thankful to God that he is okay.
So… I’m just getting around to mailing out the Christmas cards tonight and I need all hands on deck!
A foot of snow = Snow play
We drove 2.5 hrs north to bring Miles home today!
We are already in love…
To the coolest 14 year old girl that has ever lived! I love your uproarious sense of humor, your silly laughs, your infectious smile, your dad jokes and your ever growing list of puns. You make me so happy and I am beyond proud of you. I love you so much, my first love!
My mom made Chloe’s favorite food for her birthday.
Chloe wanted to hang out with her friends and walk around neighborhood town on her birthday. All I heard was little giggles and laughters from them the entire time they were together. Such a lovely and sweet group of friends!
She got her ears pierced!
