Dinner & A Movie

Sunday, March 5th, 2017

I made spicy tuna rolls for dinner and we ate it in front of TV, watching a movie. Not something I normally let them do, but it’s just me and the kids and it’s Sunday, so I thought why not…

Cookies & Books

Sunday, March 5th, 2017

For dessert, Ms. Chloe baked red velvet cookies.

When it was done, she parked herself with her book and she was in her own world.

Shane also joined in. So proud of him for reading a lot these days too. He’s gotten into reading Rick Riordan’s The Heroes of Olympus Series and really enjoying it.

A perfect afternoon.

Homemade Poke

Sunday, March 5th, 2017

I love Poke and it’s so easy to make it at home.

I used wild yellowfin tuna steak and yellowtail and marinated it with soy sauce, sesame oil and honey. Throw in some seaweed salad, scallions and cucumbers over rice and that’s pretty much it.

Happy Weekend!

Sunday, March 5th, 2017

We’re enjoying being at home today just hanging out..making mess in the basement. 🙂 We’ve been getting over jet leg and transitioning  to our regular routine this week since the vacation has been rough. Yesterday was still busy with kids sports/activities, a birthday party, errands, etc and today Andrew’s leaving for a business trip for a few days so we’re just chilling at home after church.

Chloe’s little spa nook.

Before Andrew left, they played ping pong in the basement. Andrew striking a pose for the camera…lol.

Our walls are so bare…You can see I don’t really spend much time here. Nothing’s hung on the walls in the basement.

City of Vancouver

We walked into the shop because of its cool name!

RYU stands for “Respect Your Universe”. Cool.

We strolled around Robson street before heading back to our hotel. What a day.

After a few morning runs, we got on the Peak 2 Peak gondola ride to Blackcomb mountain to have lunch at Christine’s.

Fabulous view, creative and deliciously prepared food & excellent service on top of the mountain! I could have stayed here for all day.

My first Bloody Caesar.
