Why is that handsome dude giving me a stink eye??
Congratulations to the new couple!

I’m wearing the dress I made to a wedding tonight.
Turned out pretty okay…
I started a fashion design class at a local college last week. So far, I’m loving every minute of it! Project Runway, I’m coming for you! Jk.
When she couldn’t find a dress she wanted for the concert, I saw it as an opportunity to try to make her one. 🙂 With only three days away from the concert, I went to Jo-Ann, found a really pretty velvet fabric with rhinestones embedded and started sawing. Ta Da~ This is the second dress I made for her. (First one here) She really looks like a small lady here. My baby!
Sadly we are saying goodbye to our lovely fireplace because there’s an issue with the chimney’s foundation and we have to take it down… I’m very sad to see this mantle go too. Stay tuned for a new facelift in the living room.
I’ve been working on upgrading our dining room since last November and it’s coming along nicely. After installing this gorgeous dark floral wallpaper from Ellie Cashman which I’m absolutely still in love with, I purchased a new Sanger chandelier from Aerin and got new set of chairs from One Kings Lane which was a lot of work to put together.
After those purchases, I had to save money somewhere so I made the drapery by learning from youtube tutorials on how to make French-pleat drapery. It was not an easy task and nowhere perfect but I’m happy with how they turned out. 🙂
More updates to come…
My handy man finished fixing the shed and now it’s time for us to prime and paint.
My thoughtful daughter put a piece of paper towel so she doesn’t splatter paint on my hair. 🙂
She says this is how I look when I paint.
She looks like she painted for hours… in reality she painted for an hour and I finish priming and painting most of it. By myself. Ahem.
