This past summer during quarentine, I spent a lot of time making different things for the house (before I had the surgery) and one of them was making roman shades for our master bedroom. I bought 2 drapes years ago from Serena & Lilly and I used that to make 4 roman shades. I also put together this faux orchid floral arrangement in a ceramic bowl I bought at an antique store and put it in my bathroom. Other updates: Ceiling lights: Kate spade new york bryce flower flush mount Nightstands: Williams Sonoma Meade Nightstand Botanical prints: 1880 botanical prints from Granny’s Attic
This buffet table is my first and last Craig’s list purchase when we first bought this house and I needed to have a buffet table in the dinning room. I always meant to refinish it but haven’t done it until now. I sanded it down and painted to match the colors in the dining room. And here it is~
Virtual Phys Ed class happening now in Shane’s bedroom…
Kids have a hybrid schedule where they’ll do virtual learning in the morning and go to school in the afternoon.
They came back from school so happy and full of stories to tell! We sat around kitchen island talking about their friends, new teachers and everything else while eating snacks. I missed this time with kids! I’m so thankful for our teachers, faculty members, administrators and everyone else for all their hard work for preparing and making this possible for the students!
We’re having special guests this evening and I made, watermelon feta salad, Mexican street corns, guacamole, lobster rolls, and for dessert, peach cobbler.
We played Basketball, golf, tried skateboard tricks and ended the night with badminton game. Thank you Noel family for coming over to play with us! We are so grateful for your ministry!
I made two roman shades for my studio windows and a window seat cushion using Caitlin Wilson’s tribeca fabric. Next I’m making window cornice for Shane room. Stay tuned!
Wife, Mother, jewelry designer & graphic designer /Creative Director, I am HaeWon Cadence Ryu. This is a glimpse into my life’s blessings, passion and inspiration.
This blog came to fruition after I began motherhood; I wanted to be able to capture every millestone of my two beautiful children - Chloe & Shane as they journey through their early years. Since the launch of my online jewelry site, cadencelee.com, I’ve come face-to-face with having to juggle multiple roles. As a result, I have decided to feature some of my designs and inspiration alongside postings of my precious family. For me, this is the perfect medium of work-life balance.
