dinner party

Saturday, October 19th, 2013

I’m hosting a dinner party and I’m so excited to use our dining room for the first time.

I found these awesome looking grey pumpkins at a farmer’s market called cinderella pumpkins (who knew?) and that’s how the color inspiration came for the table setting. I bought small white pumpkins and some regular pumpkins to go along with them and I painted in grey and metallic gold.

{ Candlesticks from Serena & Lily, • Dinner plates from Anthropologie, • Sterling silverware from hand-me-down from my mom, •Crystal wine glasses from vintage find in Nyack, NY, • Window blind used as a table runner from Ikea,  Placemats and napkins from west elm }

Ready to party~

Happy birthday my awesome son! I thank God every day that He gave me a son like you. No matter how old you get, you will always be my baby. I love you so much and I’m so proud of you.

last day of camp

Friday, August 23rd, 2013

Today is the last day of summer camp at the true light church. Shane has been going there for preschool last year and now we are saying goodbye. Chloe also went here for the past two summer camps and she’s very sad to leave.

Shane made this little book called, “I am a ninja. How to be a ninja.” for his friend at school and put one of his own ninjago guys as a present. How sweet is this! He asked me to spell words and wrote everything himself. He worked very hard on this.

They even have page numbers.

Chloe also drew a picture for her best friend. 🙂

let’s paint!

Fresh veggies from local market and my mother-in-law’s garden.

Today, I’m hired by Chloe to be her caterer for her garden party.

She wrote the menus,

made place cards with our names and wrote something to describe us.

Praying for our family…

Reading today’s menu.

What a busy and wonderful weekend we had.

friend’s birthday party { naomi’s 5th! }

The Wei’s did a fantastic job decorating for Naomi’s birthday. I loved Rapunzel’s hair hanging in the middle of the dining room.

Make-up stations

Rapunzel made a surprise visit!

She face painted all the girls,

took pictures with little princesses,

read a story,

and even sang!

Cake time!

After Rapunzel left, I was hired to do some “real” face painting. 😉

All the girls wanted butterflies

except for Chloe. She wanted to be a flower.

Happy birthday princess Naomi!

Chloe sounded like she had a blast. She got to sit in a meeting with Andrew in the morning, had a pizza party with other kids and even got a tour of the Chrysler building!

Ever since I made the poster of Chloe’s 100 drawings, Shane’s been handing me his art works every single day asking me to make his.

I love seeing his Ninjagos drawings. They are so funny and have creative stories behind them!

I was blown away by these latest drawings. Wow. He’s improved so much just in the last few weeks. He even drew facial stubble. haha.
