Alice in Wonderland Tea Party Theme

Thursday, December 8th, 2016

This Sunday my girl Chloe is turning double digits! Chloe’s not a big fan of birthday parties so we were thinking about taking a weekend trip to a water park for the weekend. But just a couple of weeks ago, Chloe told me she would instead, like to invite a few friends and celebrate it at home. So I jumped for joy, got my party hat on and we thought of a theme together. We are going to have a “Alice in Wonderland” tea party. 🙂

For the activity, I’m having the girls draw and decorate their own porcelain mugs to take home.

Chloe’s been wanting to learn how to make jewelries from me and we got to do just that. We spent the whole afternoon sitting next to each other making jewelry while listening to hymns. dsc_8240_2

dsc_8014

We finished our pumpkins and put glow-in-the-dark paints but it rained pretty hard last night and washed away some of the paints. 🙁

Chloe’s troop “volunteered” to do face painting at a local craft fair. They mostly just had fun drawing on their faces. 🙂img_3237 img_3239

After 4 days of symposiums, Workshops, Exhibitions and Design fairs, I felt like my brain was about the explode with so much informations! It was exciting, inspiring, and motivating to hear from the design icons and legends in the industry as well as from the young(er) emerging designers with their perspectives. The line up of the speakers were just so amazing! I came out feeling very proud to be one of the designers in this day and age.

Biz Trip To Vegas

Sunday, October 16th, 2016

This is the first time I’m going on a business trip that my kids did NOT cry. I dreaded telling them thinking they’ll cry and be all sad for weeks even before I leave so I told them just two days before I was leaving. So when I told them about my trip they went from: “What? Again? How long? Oh man, do you really have to go?  Can I go with you? When do you come back? I don’t want you to go. What are you going to do there?…” To… Ok. Bye. I’ll miss you. See you later~

I mean… yes there were thousands of hugs and kisses when I was leaving… but. but. there were no tears. NO Tears.

Why do I feel so so so sad…

When I got to my hotel room, I opened my suitcase and there it was. Surprise! A letter from a mystery man. And I felt a little better. At least I still get letters… Sniff sniff. :*(
