Chloe wanted to try hot chlocolate from this cafe and that’s how I planned this morning around this location. So we walked over just a few steps from where we took pictures, and once again beat the crowd by getting here early enough and waited just a few minutes to get a table. (apparently there’s a line for everything in Paris!) I got a giant croissant and a very delicious latte and OMG I finally had my croissant fix in Paris. And Chloe was very happy with her hot chocolate and homemade baguette with ham & cheese. Yum yum yum!
This morning I bought 10 Métro tickets for the day and our first destination took us to Trocadero for the view of Eiffle tower. What I had not known was that the sun was coming up from behind the tower which made it tricky to take pictures with my DSL camera. But we managed it fine with our iPhones and asking a fellow tourist to take photos for us.
We got back to our hotel little after 10 pm and finished our dessert and hung out in the terrace again. What a beautiful night to be outside! Chloe and I even made tiktok videos. 😉
My little happy purchase. 🙂
Once again we beat the crowd by going to the Louvre on Thursday evening. There was hardly any wait to see even the Mona Lisa so this time, I lingered littler and took my time a bit. I even went back for the second time. This is my third time visiting this museum and I always leave feeling I needed more time to observe and admire everything… But I’m so glad I got to share this experience with Chloe.
After walking around Avenue des Champs-Élysées most of the day, we came back to Saint Germain to shop Chloe’s favorite store, Brandy Melville. Don’t ask… Anyway, we stumbled upon this cute little cafe and they had live jazz too!
This morning, I had a breakfast reservation at Le Meurice but we woke up late and missed our reservation time. We got there 45 min late and had no luck getting in… even though we only saw two tables being occupied, they didn’t want to bother trying to squeeze us in…
Disappointed but I tried to shake it off and had a breakfast back at our hotel in Westin (which was still delicious but lacked the decor I wanted), then headed out to explore the city, But first, more photos in the terrace, of course! 😉
It’s been a long day but we got through it beautifully! We even had more dessert (From Angelina’s) back in the hotel in bed. 🙂 Good night Paris. Cant wait to see more of you tomorrow!
We had amazing 5 course dinner with wine to celebrate our first night! Even though it was supposed to be 5 course dinner, with chef’s special pre-starters and in-between palate cleanser, bread variety, and complimentary desserts, we felt like we had about 8 or 9 plates of food. Our dinner lasted about 2.5 hours and it was so intimate and special to share it with my girl.
