MY NEW SPOT
Monday, July 6th, 2020I created an outdoor space for myself. I come down here with my coffee and do my morning devotions, looking at my ever-growing garden.
And sometimes, we have breakfast here.

We decided to make a list of experiences we want to achieve as a family this summer, sort of like a summer bucket list. My first pick was kayaking on the Hudson.
I booked us a kayaking tour on the Hudson valley and that’s what we are doing on this gorgeous summer morning. We began our adventure kayaking south under Storm King Mountain before crossing the Hudson River to the base of Breakneck Ridge on the Eastern bank. This was a long stretch of constant paddling which took about 30 mins until we crossed the river. Then we paddled North to Pollepel Island. When we got to the island, the kayak guide shared history of the castle as we paddle around, viewing the ruins from the water-level perspective.
This was a lot of fun and really exhausting. I was amazed how strong Chloe was. She had no problem keeping her pace with everyone and she was the only teenager on a single kayak.
I made two roman shades for my studio windows and a window seat cushion using Caitlin Wilson’s tribeca fabric. Next I’m making window cornice for Shane room. Stay tuned!
Make your own shrimp or beef summer roll with fresh vegetable greens from my garden.
I’ve been going to local nursery every week, adding more flowers to my backyard garden. It’s coming along nicely. I just hope that I keep them alive and well.
My vegetable gardening has been going really well! Hopefully we’ll get some cucumbers and peppers real soon.
I hired myself as my kids camp counselor today. I got them up early, went jogging, and we put up the badminton net and played…
And then I realized today is 4th of July.
A big breakfast before tennis!
Back at Chung’s for an awesome afternoon of fun!
When Shane’s bored…
This girl who wears gloves when touching feet, charges me $10 for 20 minute foot massage. She’s not that good but the price is good. 😉
