This is me, embarrassing my family with my walk, trying to capture how my sweater is dancing with me.

a dress for the concert

Saturday, October 19th, 2019

When she couldn’t find a dress she wanted for the concert, I saw it as an opportunity to try to make her one. 🙂 With only three days away from the concert, I went to Jo-Ann, found a really pretty velvet fabric with rhinestones embedded and started sawing. Ta Da~ This is the second dress I made for her. (First one here) She really looks like a small lady here. My baby!

We are @ New York University this morning because Chloe’s performing at The Youth Music Festival this afternoon. She’s playing a duet, a piece called, All for One, One for All, composed by a NYU student. She’s been working hard for the last two months and we are so excited for this opportunity. Youth Music Festival is a collaborative way of sharing original new music by student composers at NYU, played by young musicians and their teachers.

I went to Costco this morning and made myself a nice lunch afterwards. Yep, just for me and it was nice to sit down and enjoy a full course meal before heading out to get kids after school.

Chloe got invited to her first bat mitzvah, so we went out shopping for a dress. Guess which dress she picked out for the party?
None… Blah.

oktoberfest

Sunday, October 13th, 2019

Today we have our town Oktoberfest and Chloe and her partner are hosting a booth at the fair. As part of the silver award project they started past summer, they are looking for art supply donations and volunteers for the Camp Sunshine/Snowflake.

Chloe gave a presentation in front of all the town GS troop leaders and parents a few weeks ago and I was blown away by how comfortable she presented her project in a public speaking setting. She stood in front of 25 + adults and she was very eloquent, and clear in getting her message crossed. I was beyond impressed!
