everybody cooks
Thursday, November 28th, 2019Shane’s making garlic mashed potatoes and Chloe’s making an apple pie with Andrew. Our thanksgiving tradition.
Chloe had to ice her ankle and elevate it but she still managed to bake! For the rest of the day, she was ensconced in the green couch with a book and rested.
My mother-in-law came early and she got roped into helping out with the pie. I think she felt bad watching how slowly (and unsteady) Andrew was peeling the apples…
5k Turkey Run
Thursday, November 28th, 2019Chloe and I are doing our town 5k this morning. We’re pumped up! Chloe will be running and I will be doing running/walking.
We started out great but then after about an half an hour, I got a call from Chloe, who was much much further in front of me, that she sprained her ankle… We ended up riding in the ambulance for the rest of the way in. She’s fell on the side of the road and had a minor sprain… 🙁 I have to say it was an interest experience and we are very thankful for thee nice EMTs who helped Chloe!

semi-finals! and the season ends
Sunday, November 17th, 2019Shane’s team made it to semi-finals but lost after going overtime and penalty kicks. What an exciting game!!! GREAT JOBS you guys!!! Fought very hard in this freezing cold weather. You know it’s cold when Andrew refuses to come out of his car and watch the game, while his good mom stood outside the entire time. Just sayin…

out after 2 weeks
Wednesday, November 13th, 2019Today my dad has his first post-op doctors appt. It’s his first time outside the house since the surgery thanks to his overprotective wife. 😉
Happy to report that so far, besides the expected pains from the surgery, he is recovering well and everything is way it should be. Thank you God for your faithfulness.
