Tea time at the resort

She’s imitating Shane here. Whenever Shane gets a nice cup for his water or a drink, he holds the cup with his pinky raised and says “fancy cup!”. Oh I miss that boy…

Gordes Medieval Village

Sunday, September 17th, 2017

We visited Gordes village which is on the foothills of the Monts of Vaucluse, facing the Luberon. Gordes is one of the most well-known hilltop villages in the region, and one of the most beautiful in France.

Gordes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur

Sunday, September 17th, 2017

We arrived in Gordes after 1 hour drive from Aix-en-Provence. The driving in the country side was very pretty but the going up on the very top of the mountain where our hotel’s location was scary.

Staying here

As soon as she’s done checking out the room and view, she grabs her book and reads…

Shopping, Dinner & Bath

Saturday, September 16th, 2017

For the rest of the afternoon, we walked around more, visiting thousands of cute little shops and stumbling upon music and dance performances here and there.

We felt like we were eating all day long so we decided to have a simple dinner out of all the food we bought at the market this morning.

Then Chloe put rose petals in the bath to relax at the end of a perfect day!

Beautiful Hotel/Garden

Saturday, September 16th, 2017

We came to have afternoon tea and snack at Villa Gallici. This hotel was my original choice for our stay but after doing much research, we decided to stay close to town where all the actions are. So Chloe was curious to check this place out and I’m so glad we did. It is a  B E A U T I  F  U L  place!

Atelier de Cézanne

Saturday, September 16th, 2017

We visited Cézanne’s studio where he  painted towards end of his life.

We got a real feeling of tranquility walking around the garden and I could imagine Cezanne creating his masterpieces here.

The most incredible thing was the preservation of a table, skulls, and other objects he incorporated in his paintings. There was also letters he had written to his contemporaries Monet and Manet.
