Wednesday, December 6th, 2017Shane’s First Travel Basketball Game
Sunday, December 3rd, 2017Today was Shane’s first official game and it was the first game I got to watch him in action. Watching basketball is a whole different experience than soccer. It’s faster, exciting, and fun but also very nerve-wracking as these boys make full body contacts. Shane did very well. While he doesn’t really go after the ball very aggressively like other boys, he shoots really well. He scored two 3 pointers today.
1 min before the game was about to end, his coach sent him out to the court. Someone pass the ball to Shane and when he got the ball, an opponent teammate literally “trucked” him full force. He fell. Hard. I heard people gasp as we all watched him go down. He got up and walked off to his bench and turned his face to the wall. I could tell he was crying. Oh. My. Goodness… Thankfully he was fine and nothing was broken but boy was that intense! So, how many more games does he have??
Here’s a video of him scoring:

Saturday, December 2nd, 2017Christmas Tree!
Sunday, November 26th, 2017By 3 pm this afternoon, I was all nice, cozy and comfy in my pjs, in my bed, enjoying my lazy Sunday (for once!) catching up on my favorite show, Fixer Upper, when this girls kept insisting that we HAVE TO get our Christmas tree today. Since we’ve been getting our trees right after Thanksgiving day for the last few years, she wants to make it our family tradition.
So…we made it out.
I was so tired, I was seeing double..
Shoving down a donut very skillfully.
That’s the one we picked!
I admit, I’m glad she dragged us out of the house to get the tree. Kudos to you Chloe! 😉
