Date with My Ladies
Sunday, July 17th, 2016My mom, Chloe and I went to the city this afternoon for some furniture shopping and dinner on this hot steamy summer day.
We had dinner at Republic, one of our favorite noodle place.
Then we went to Eataly for yummy gelato and bought some bread and fresh pasta noodles to bring home. Along the way, we made a quick stop at its Wine and Cheese bar which was so delicious and perfect end to our day.

Tuesday, July 12th, 2016I don’t know how this happened… I thought we were going to have a nice relaxed boring summer and I just signed up for a few things here and there… Apparently I didn’t really plan it well..or think everything through. Obviously…
I’m running around busier than ever during this summer break than during school season. Yeesh.
I’m driving the kids before, during and after work for these activities and I have my parents driving them (thank you!) as well as arranging for car pools with other moms.
Actually it is pretty nice and relaxing for kids and they are having so much fun. Andrew is having fun too since he gets to golf more.
Farewell
Sunday, July 10th, 2016Love Summer!
Sunday, July 10th, 2016I love summer for so many reasons like, no school, longer daylight, more play time with kids, swim every evenings, beach vacations, rosé wines, grilled corn on the cob, summer fruits, cute beach cover-ups, etc… but mostly because my parents come stay with us during the summer!
When Chloe was a little younger, she would ask me,
“When you get older, are you going to only speak Korean? like grandma?”
“Are you going to become beautiful like grandma?” I hope so!
Chloe mastering the “Dab”. What is this?
Food This Week
Saturday, July 9th, 2016Zucchini noodles with pesto.
This was not very popular amongst my family members… I thought my mom would love it since she loves everything healthy. But. She looked at me like I had three heads when I served this for dinner. My dad didn’t even come near it. Chloe ate a few forceful bites and ran away. ONLY Shane and I thought it was delicious and we finished our plates. Shane actually asked for second. Maybe it had to with the fact that he was so starving just coming back from his basketball camp.
I didn’t even try giving it to Andrew. So for those who were snobs…, I had to make real pasta noodles and served it with the same pesto sauce. They were relieved.
Vietnamese banh mi – everyone’s favorite.
