hello weekend!
Friday, October 4th, 2013paris in new york
Sunday, September 29th, 2013We spent an awesome afternoon at Bryant park where “Taste of France” took place. This event showcased the various aspects of French cuisine, lifestyle, tourism, culture, and many other fun activities.
Of course it wouldn’t be an extra fun experience if we didn’t go on the marry-go-around.
Oh yeah, Ms. Chloe lost two front teeth this week.
We enjoyed eating lots of French food.
birthday boy in the house
Saturday, September 28th, 2013It’s Andrew’s birthday today! He didn’t want to do anything special today other than keep announcing “it’s my birthday week/end” for the last several days. He got to have some off duty nights but other than that today was a pretty normal quiet Saturday at home.
I made him tomato and goat cheese tarts for breakfast.
For lunch I made chicken noodle soup with garlic crouton
Vietnamese caramelized pork with udon noodles. (Actually this is from last night.) We ate out tonight because I got too tired. 😛
I finally used some of thousands apples we still have from the apple picking weekend a couple of weeks ago and made apple galette.
Happy birthday my amour!

Saturday, September 21st, 2013mornings
Friday, September 20th, 2013Chloe’s school starts at 7:50 am and we’re always rushing to get out the door by 7:30 every morning. So I’ve been making smoothies for breakfast along with either cereal, toast or pancakes. Sometimes if we’re running late, I just pour them in bottles, so they can drink it on the way.
I also make myself one but it’s usually a lot greener.
We struggle every morning trying to get out on time. Despite these happy looking kids in the photos, mornings are chaos. They are only smiling this morning because somebody’s having a birthday party at school today and the other somebody is excited about her first daisy troop meeting after school.
