We went to Fosterfields living historic farm in Morris county today.

We got a tour of the farm house from the 18th century, provided a real peek into what living on a colonial working farm would have been like.

Kids got to do laundry the “old fashioned” way.

Learning about milling corn to feed animals.

For breakfast this morning, I made chicken and arugula pesto pita pockets with leftover grilled chicken and on the side is shrimp mashed potatoes.

It was a big meal for breakfast only because I ordered from FreshDirect for a 6 a.m. delivery time this morning and I couldn’t wait to start cooking.

I love mealtime. 🙂

We went to a street fair in Montvale this afternoon.

Then came back with bubble guns. Fun. :0)

After a hot day of strawberry picking, we needed to cool off.

I made breakfast popovers with Italian sausage and smoked mozzarella inside. It was so delicious! I love trying Giada’s recipes. She never fails me. 🙂

Today, we’re kicking off the summer with a dinner party at a friend’s house, celebrating a birthday.
