chloe is our tour guide

Sunday, November 18th, 2012

We visited Teaneck Creek Conservatory this afternoon as a part of Chloe’s homework. She’s been learning about history about this place at school and she couldn’t wait to tell us about it.

She told us that Native American, Lenni Lenape live here 400 years ago and that this area was the first “Indian reservation” in New Jersey. She really knew what she was talking about. Who knew?!

Too bad, Sandy destroyed most of it here too…

He’s the skeptical one.

Chloe ate 9 of those and Shane ate 5. That’s pretty good. 🙂

Tilapia fish taco with arugula and avocado topped with wasabi creme.

The star dish: slow cooked pork

We spent a lot of time with these friends during the “powerless” last couple of weeks.

Cheers to our friendship!
