We bought new bicycles for the kids this morning. Chloe picked this one all because of the flower basket, she says.

Don’t worry Shane. Yours is coming in a couple of days.

I love watching them enjoying each other’s company.

We stayed in our PJs most of the day today. I’m not sure what I have but I’ve been coughing for over 3 weeks now. I was feeling extra tired today so I laid down with Shane  for a nap and we were both out for 3 hours!

Then we went to a local diner and had burgers and fries for dinner.

Came home around 8pm and I was in bed by 9pm again.

Ever since he memorized the Lord’s prayer a couple of months ago, he insists on praying before every meal and bed time.

Chloe: Mommy I really want to say the “F” word to you but I’m trying not to say it.

Me: What?!?! What F word? What are you talking about? (freakin out)

Chloe: … (smiles)

Me: Ms. Chloe, tell me what the F word is. Right now.

Chloe: I really want to say Freckles but I’m trying not to say it to you.

In the last month or so Chloe’s been making funny comments regarding the freckles on my face and she thinks it’s funny to count them. I told her not to do that because that makes me feel bad.

Me: (relieved) Oh, you meant freckles… That’s fine.

Chloe: Did you think I was going to say the OTHER F word?

Me: What?? What’s the other F word? (freaking out again)

Chloe: Fart! (and she laughs)

Today was a Crazy Hat day at school so I made Chloe a flower cowboy hat. I was feeling proud…

then I walked in to Shane’s class room and realized that his class was participating to the event too. I felt so awful I didn’t make anything for him… Luckily his teacher had some extra hats for the kids who forgot… I win the bad mother award today. 🙁 I guess I f’ed up…

I finally got around to downloading some videos. This one is from last September around his 3rd birthday.

This morning, I took Shane with me to run errands. I’m in the process of turning my old studio space (little spare room next to a guest room) into a walking closet. So Shane and I went to the Container store to buy shelving units.
My buddy Shane was a great company!

We took a road trip to East Hampton today. We spent some time shopping and walking around town then drove around to find a park.

We took a turn on a dead end and ended up on a quiet street with a tucked away beach…

Kids and I enjoyed picking pretty sea shells and  rocks on the beach. We consistently had to remind kids not to take off their shoes and go in the water.

We found a heart shaped pebble.

Chloe: Today was a very good day!
