exploring the romantic city

Sunday, October 23rd, 2011

We bought a beautiful photograph from a local artist.

We also walked through the Parc Mount Royal in the city for a scenic walk.

This was one of the most memorable trips we took as a couple. We realized how much we needed this. It’s been a while since it was just us twos and it really gave us chance to take a breath and review our relationship and talk (more importantly, listen) to each other.

I’m looking forward to many more trips like this…

Thank you so so so much to our wonderful friends, R & D who offered to babysit the kids so  we could take this trip. We had no doubts that the kids were in good hands… Your friendship means the world to us.

old montréal

After this delicious brunch at a cute cafe nearby our hotel, we spent all day walking around the Old Montréal and downtown. This city is so charming and beautiful and people are very friendly here.

Visited a Christmas store.

Romantic dinner at DNA.

Duck with juniper berries. I never had a raw duck before. It was quite tasty.

our letters

Friday, October 21st, 2011

For this trip we brought all the letters and cards we ever wrote to each other over the last 10 years of our marriage. Definitely brought back the old memories… I can’t believe how much we used to write to each other… and most of them were from Andrew.

We promised to continue to write in the future and we promised to be nicer to each other how we used to. 😉

Where we’re staying.

The first thing we saw was this “Occupy Wall street” signage.

Dinner at Au Pied De Cochon

Today’s special, squid ink pasta with sea urchin… is out of this world!

Happy Pork Chop

Foie Gras Poutine

The food was just amazing. We didn’t realize how big the portions are here, and didn’t get to finish all the delicious food.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends!

pictures from korean school

Tuesday, September 27th, 2011

I was so thrilled when I receive an email from Chloe and Shane’s teachers in Korean school last week. They were kind enough to send me pictures of the kids and here they are. I couldn’t say enough about how good of experience this was for them. Looks like they did so much!
