road trip – vermont

Friday, May 27th, 2011

We arrived really late last night here in Stowe, Vermont. When we were driving up the mountain in the dark to get to our lodge, we couldn’t see two feet ahead of us.

When we woke up, we were pleasantly surprised to see our lodge was situated on a beautiful lush green hill.

beautiful flower arrangements every where…

We had a very healthy Vermont style breakfast to start the day!

sick

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

It’s been a tough month. Andrew’s traveling back to back, visiting five cities for the past three weeks including weekends. While he’s aways both kiddes got sick. I took turns taking each of them to doctors this week and found out that Chloe has a strep throat. 🙁

It’s not fun being sick. They both climb on to my bed and completely take over. I have a picture to prove it.

Not only they want to sleep with me in my bed, they both want to sleep right next to me. So at one point, we were all sitting in the dark, in the middle of the night, discussing sleeping arrangements. I’ve been waking up average 5 times a night. This is becoming a very bad habit. But how can I kick them out of my bed when they are suffering from colds/strep? They were so congested they kept waking up from discomforts, tossing and turning, pushing and kicking. When I woke up this morning, my arms were so sore from holding on to the edge of the bed, trying not to fall off.

This not fun.

random conversation

Chloe: (after getting dressed for church) Ta da~ Shane! Do you like what I’m wearing?
Shane: uh, yes?
Chloe: Do you think I’m pretty? Do you want to marry me, Shane?
Shane: (playing with his trains, not paying much attention to Chloe) …
Chloe: Shane, do you want to marry me or someone else?
Shane: Uh, someone else.
Chloe: Fine. I’m going to marry my prince then. Good bye.

Saturday, May 14th, 2011

We drove all the way to Essex, CT to experience day out with Thomas.

Eating Sandwich while waiting for the Thomas train.

Here it is!

They are such fans of “Thomas and his friends” and couldn’t be any more excited that we are on the Thomas train. Chloe thought we were in “the Island of Sodor”. So cute.

Happy Shane

Sunday, May 8th, 2011

Chloe put the little flowers along with the card on my night stand yesterday, “so you can wake up smelling the flowers!” she said.

Then this morning she said, “Happy Mother’s day, HaeWon!”

Are we on the first name basis now? Lol.

family walkathon at school

Friday, May 6th, 2011

Kids school had a family walkathon with parents today.

I can spot Chloe’s drawing from miles away. Hers is right above Sarah’s on the bottom.

Shane’s class room

We walked around the block with our “passports” from one country to another, getting stamps.

Shane’s thick chunky hand. I love holding his paws, I mean hands.

Waiting for his sister.

So they didn’t see each other for about 15 min, but they act like they haven’t see each other for months! So cute. 🙂
