I really enjoyed this weekend with my kids. Chloe was so sweet giving kisses and hugs running back and forth between me and Andrew for no special reasons and Shane was just being himself being happy and joyous all around. 

It was a very difficult week for me. It feels even sadder this time around now that I’m leaving two kids behind to go back to work. My parents will go back to Korea soon and we will have to leave Shane with a new nanny and Chloe in daycare full-time. The thought of leaving Shane with a stranger is daunting and suddenly it hit me. Do we really need to have two incomes? Is this the lifestyle we want to have? I’m rushing back and forth from Chloe’s daycare  before and after work, and I also rush home to nurse Shane during lunch hours. With the little time I have with my kids  (in the early evening), I bath Shane, nurse him, then put him to bed by 6:30 pm. Then I attend to Chloe to feed her, spend some qualify time with her, bath her, then to put her to bed by 8pm. Thank God my parents are still here  to help us out with  the cooking and  to babysit Shane during the day. Otherwise, I would be starving myself right now. I gave up on sleep, but how do I squeeze cooking and showering in the morning? It’s only been a week of being back at work and I already feel so burnt out. I’m in a weird place right now… 

 "Oh my goodness!" when I accidently dropped a soap in her bath tub today. 

We took the kids to a children’s museum in Paramus today. It was a heavenly place for Chloe, being able to touch and play with lots of toys, sit on a fire truck with a fireman hat, build a colorful light mosaic, play in a doll house with lots of cups(she loves cups and plates), fish with daddy, serve toy food to us, and much more… There was so many fun things to do, even Shane was looking around amused. I think Chloe’s favorite part was sitting in front of a computer, clicking the mouse. She spent about 20 min. just clicking the mouse away. She’s always wanted to touch my computer at home but since I never let her, she was thrilled to play with one there. Doesn’t she really look like she knows what she’s doing in the picture? 

When we finally got to the car after lunch, she took out her sunglasses out of her purse, put it on and fell asleep in the car. Isn’t she something…

Shane smiles a lot. I mean everytime anybody says anything to him, he responds with a smile and sometimes he laughs out loud too.

 It was a cold night… so we made some winter night snacks by the fire place.
