Saturday, June 6th, 2009gardening
Saturday, June 6th, 2009I bought some sweet basil, tomatoes, cucumber, sweet peppers, and mint plants and also some flowers so Chloe and I can plant them together. I’m not a gardening type of person but I have to say I actually enjoyed spending time planting. Chloe, wanting to help so eagerly, was taking roots off the plants and stepping on few of them so I had to finish the rest while the kids were napping. The result? Chloe was so happy!!
hair cut
Friday, June 5th, 2009Ms. Chloe got a hair cut this afternoon at Pumpkin & Bean in Englewood. We’ve been talking about cutting her hair and she was so excited about it. I don’t think she knew what a hair cut was, but since she insisted on getting one, she couldn’t really complain about the process. She was really good the whole time! But then again, she had her own screen to watch a DVD and toys to play with. Why don’t they have that for grown-ups? I would love to watch a movie while getting my hair done!

Sunday, May 31st, 2009photoshoot
Saturday, May 30th, 2009One of our very talented art directors that I work with, David, is also a wedding photographer. He did us a huge favor by shooting the whole family for next to nothing this morning at Central Park. Chloe had so much fun with him. When we got home, she kept asking "where did David go? Is he coming back? Where is David?" When she got tired after the shoot, she asked David to carry her.
Thank you David for a wonderful time! Can’t wait to see the photos.

hershey park
Tuesday, May 26th, 2009Turns out, Chloe’s too young for Hershey’s park. We’ve asked several people at the hotel to see if it was appropriate for little children like Chloe and they all said it’s great. So we paid over $100 to go in and ride the merry-go-around 6 times. Boo hoo! That was it.
We checked out the zoo and that was cool. But the best part was sitting on the bench in the shade with the kids and eating a small cup of $10 ice cream dots. If I sound bitter, I’m not. I just wished we checked out the awesome outlet stores instead…
Overall, the trip was tons of fun because I got to be with my kids and my husband! It doesn’t matter where we went.
dutch wonderland
Monday, May 25th, 2009Chloe’s fascinated with princesses and castles these days. At this story telling event, a princess was telling a story to all these children sitting around listening…but not Chloe. She walked right up to the pricess and stood right in front of her, getting the best seat in the house as she stared and hung around the princess at arms length.
What a fund day we had! This place is like a heaven for small children.
